Tigers! A Call for Makers! Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. The 2025 Shreveport - Bossier Maker Faire is a wonderful community (and global) event that is coming to YOU on March 29-30 at the Defenders of Liberty Air Show at Barksdale AFB, housed under the "Hangar of STEM". It will exhibit many makers, crafters, and tinkerers who are ready to exhibit their crafts and wonders of STEM. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness in the community and beyond! Glimpse the future and get inspired! Not only is there room for makers, but more importantly, VOLUNTEERS from the supportive BMS community. NJHS members, Robotics club members, and students who are excited to HELP are all welcome! Please reach out to Mrs. Ida Smith and let her know if you are interested in either showcasing/exhibiting your talents and wares; or, if you are interested in helping with volunteering. Minors under 18 must have an adult present. Maker Faire II will be hosted by Sci-Port Discovery Center on April 12. There you can also serve or exhibit your merchandise (and sell) if you have items you would like to showcase. We are excited to bring this to our Shreveport-Bossier Community!
